Audience research on documentaries

I have conducted a questionnaire about people's opinions on different aspects of documentaries. It showed me that people do enjoy watching documentaries. A lot of younger people (ages 10) enjoy watching historical and travel documentaries which surprised me because I thought that they would be more into video games. Teens and young adults really enjoyed eco-living, criminal and psychological documentaries. The older generations preferred to watch historical and food/travel documentaries.
This exercise allowed me to get a deeper understanding of what people enjoy, which can be added to ideas for my documentary.
